The Services Marie Mills Center provides:
Residential Services...
24 Hour Care Residential Program Services
| Marie Mills Center operates two residential homes:
the Madrona House and the Nestucca House. The Center also operates a
Supported Living Program for individuals with developmental
disabilities living on their own and requesting more
intensive support. Services in these programs are comprehensive in nature and
geared to assure the individual's welfare, safety and health. |

Individual or Family Support Services...
Alternatives to Employment Services
Individuals in this program participate in a variety of
activities including supervised community group activities, arts &
crafts, recreational activities and other activities geared to the
individual's needs and desire.
Individualized Community Integration and
Socialization Services

This is a program Marie Mills Center provides when an
individual requires a more individualized approach that focuses upon
development of personal and community relationships. |
Non-Crisis Respite Services
This program is designed to provide relief for the
individual's primary care giver. Within residential programs, services
may involve daytime respite care or overnight respite care at the
Marie Mills Center Madrona House Facility with room, board and
supervision being provided. Respite services are also available at the
Marie Mills Center Vocational Facility from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday
through Friday.
In-Home Family Support Services
This program provides supplemental support to
individuals living at home with family or others. These services are
individualized and will assist with basic medical care, financial
planning, nutrition, daily living skills and chore services.
Semi-Independent Living Program Services
This program provides individualized support services
to individuals living on their own. The goal of this program is to
provide individual services and support that maintain the individual
in their living situation. Typically, individuals in this program are
able to live with a minimal level of outside support.

Employment Services...
Supervised Community Based Employment Services
This service typically involves small groups of
individuals working for pay in community based settings. Examples
include work crews at the Tillamook Country Smoker. Four Janitorial
Crews serving 45 janitorial contracts, Restroom Maintenance Crews at
Cape Lookout State Park, and various other community employment
opportunities - all supervised and supported by Marie Mills Center
staff.
Facility Based Employment Services
This program provides highly structured and supervised
activities within the center. Examples of activities include learning
basic job and social skills, and some paid employment.
Job Development & Placement Services
| This program focuses upon identifying and developing
appropriate employment opportunities or competitive job placements.
Some individuals not desiring actual employment utilize this service
to identify and develop suitable volunteer activities within the
community. Past competitive job placements include local grocery
stores, the Tillamook Cheese Factory, Oregon Mint Snuff, the Shilo
Inn, Tillamook Care Center, the Tillamook Transfer Station,
Headlight-Herald newspaper and Pacific Oyster. |

Job Coaching Services
This program provides initial job training and support
to individuals placed into community employment situations. Some
individuals may require ongoing job coaching services to maintain
their community-based employment, competitive job placement or
volunteer activity.

Evaluation Services...
Evaluation Services identify capabilities or support
needs of an individual. Evaluations help an individual or family
determine the direction their services should take as well as identify
needs of the individual. Evaluations occur in a variety of settings
including vocational and residential.
Transportation Services...

With a fleet of vehicles, Marie Mills Center assists
many individuals in getting to and from their services, work, medical
appointments, as well as access to various community services. Marie
Mills Center travels nearly 90,000 miles annually in transporting
individuals with developmental disabilities.
Marie Mills Center also uses the Tillamook County
Transportation District (also known as "The Wave") for
transportation needs.

The Wave also helps to transport
developmentally disabled individuals throughout our community to
jobs, stores and other community locations. Marie Mills Center is very appreciative of "The Wave's"
effort at serving the needs of our disabled citizens and looks forward
to expanding its usage of public transportation services in the
future.
How can You become involved?
Marie Mills Center accepts referrals
through the Integrated Services Network (842-2799) for most
services. For 24 hour Residential Care Services, referrals are
accepted through the Tillamook Family Counseling Center Case
